Enkidu Khaled (geboren in Bagdad, woont in Brussel) is theatermaker en performer. Hij produceerde de afgelopen jaren bekroonde werken in België en Nederland en zijn creatie voor toneel als “Working Method” of “Baghdad” toerde internationaal. In KaaiTheater Brussel bracht hij in 2021 de theater voorstelling "Bar by bar, night by night, story by story,
onward!" en in 2022 "Tank Tink/One" in première. Hij behaalde een masterdiploma aan het internationale theaterinstituut DasArts in Amsterdam. Khaled is altijd geïnteresseerd in hoe een menselijk wezen door zijn context wordt gevormd, en hoe het zich tot zijn verleden, heden en mogelijke toekomsten verhoudt. In elk van zijn werken wil hij onderzoeken hoe elementen als maatschappij, opvoeding, godsdienst, politiek, cultuur en transformatie de aard en het gedrag van dit menselijk wezen beïnvloeden. In zijn werk gomt hij de lijn tussen het gebied van het theater en dat van de performance weg om tot nieuwe definities te komen, die tussen deze twee heen en terug bewegen.

Enkidu Khaled (born in Baghdad, lives in Brussels) is a theater maker and performer. He produced in recent years awarded works in Belgium and the Netherlands and his creation for stage as “Working Method” or “Baghdad” toured internationally. In KaaiTheatre Brussels he premiered in 2021 the theater play “Bar by bar, night by night, story by story, onward!” and in 2022 “Tank Tink/One”. He holds a master’s degree from the international theater institute DasArts in Amsterdam. Khaled is always interested in how a human being is shaped by its context, and how it relates to its past, present and possible futures. In each of his works he wants to investigate how elements such as society, education, religion, politics, culture and transformation influence the nature and behavior of this human being. In his work he erases the line between the realm of theater and that of performance to arrive at new definitions that move back and forth between the two.
