Showcase of Belgian and Dutch Sound Art at the Brakke Grond
This year, FIBER Festival, STUK, and the Brakke Grond are collaborating to present a program during FIBER Festival. On Sunday, June 2nd, FIBER Festival, STUK, and the Brakke Grond will present a day filled with sound art from the Netherlands and Belgium under the title "Neighbouring Frequencies."
With Neighbouring Frequencies, the three organizations showcase the richness and diverse forms of sound art within both countries. Sometimes, collaborations and cross-pollinations arise between neighboring countries. Visitors are invited to explore the history, present, and potential future of sound art from the perspective of Flemish-Dutch collaborations, while also examining developments in Wallonia.
On Sunday, June 2nd, the afternoon will be dedicated to sound art performances by Dutch and Belgian artists. These performances are open to the public and will take place in the Grote zaal of the Brakke Grond. The program includes lectures and sound art performances providing a brief overview of sound art developments in both countries.
