(b. Austria, based in Belgium), aka Spawarrior, is a Berlin-based interdisciplinary artist exploring performance, visual arts, voice, sound and music. Notable works include “Spirits of Places” (Mexico, Spain) with Rocio Marano, “LE_GO” (Berliner Festspiele), and “Critical Techno”, a techno lecture created with Helena Dietrich (Paris, Brussels, Berlin). Thomas Proksch interpreted numerous works by artist Tino Sehgal (e.g. Venice Biennale, Documenta Kassel, Shed NYC, Okayama Art Summit) and composed for performances by July Weber, Sophia Rodriguez, and the films “Invocations of Remembrance” by Paola Bascon. Recent works include “Happy Sisyphos” (Potsdam) and “Late Night Dada” (Leipzig, Dortmund) by Hermann Heisig, the performance “Sort of Things” with multi-instrumentalist Lena Wenta. Also works as carer for people with disabilities, was active member of the community space Fortuna Wetten Neukölln as curator and host of diverse activities and events, and can be seen interacting with the artworks of Philippe Parreno in “Voices” Haus der Kunst, Munich.
