Jonas Ohlsson is kunstenaar en maker van tekeningen, installaties, jeanssculpturen en porseleinen objecten. Hij maakt elektronische muziek en treedt op als Blodfet & DJ Lonely. Zijn kunst is net zo veelzijdig als zijn artistieke praktijk. Naast muziek, provocatie en humor zijn andere belangrijke thema's in zijn werk: politiek, het onderbewuste, goed luisteren en om je heen kijken. Ohlsson geeft ook les aan de KABK en Design Academy in Eindhoven.

Hij houdt zich bezig met het opbouwen van verschillende collectieve samenwerkingen. Samen met Magnus Monfeldt bijvoorbeeld maakt Jonas installaties, tekeningen en films over het vaderschap. In hun werk stellen ze vragen over patriarchaat, masculiniteit en creativiteit. Kun je met kunst muffe patriarchale patronen doorbreken? Hoe combineer je het maken van kunst met betaald werk, terwijl je ook een aanwezige en verantwoordelijke vader wil zijn?

Jonas Ohlsson is an artist and maker of drawings, installations, jeans sculptures and porcelain objects. He makes electronic music, performing as Blodfet & DJ Lonely. His art is as versatile as his artistic practice. Alongside music, provocation and humour, other major themes in his work include: politics, the unconscious, good listening and looking around you. Ohlsson also teaches at the Royal Academy of Art The Hague (KABK) and the Design Academy in Eindhoven. He also maintains and expands a range of collective collaborations.

Together with Magnus Monfeldt, for example, Jonas creates installations, drawings and films on fatherhood. In their work, the pair interrogate the patriarchy, masculinity and creativity. Is it possible for art to break through ossified patriarchal patterns? How can making art be combined with paid work, while at the same time striving to be a responsible, involved father?
