W0W19 is an inflatable bouncy castle – a scale model of the project space used by the 019 art platform in Ghent. This architectural replica can actually be jumped on, by young and old alike. Especially for Beyond the Black Box, 019 is developing additional inflatable objects from the area surrounding the project space in Ghent, inspired by their interventions exploring the public realm. In this way, 019 will act as a hospitable occupier, working with other artists at the festival to scope out the potential of the space and make it visible.
019 is a transdisciplinary platform based in Ghent that develops ‘in-between spaces’ for intuitive experiments between architecture, graphic design and fine art. By continually identifying new possibilities, 019 challenges conventional approaches to exhibiting in artistic and non-artistic spaces.

Kunstenplatform 019
W0W19 is een opblaasbaar springkasteel - een schaalmodel van de projectruimte van kunstenplatform 019 in Gent. Op deze architecturale replica kan echt worden gesprongen, door jong en oud. Speciaal voor Beyond the Black Box ontwikkelt 019 aanvullende opblaasbare objecten uit de omgeving van de projectruimte in Gent, geïnspireerd op hun interventies, die de openbare ruimte onderzoeken. Zo fungeert 019 als een gastvrije bezetter om, samen met andere kunstenaars van het festival, het potentieel van de ruimte te bezien en zichtbaar te maken.
019 is een transdisciplinair platform uit Gent dat ‘tussenruimtes’ ontwikkelt voor intuïtieve experimenten tussen architectuur, grafisch ontwerp en beeldende kunst in.
