Six performers build a table on a platform on an otherwise empty stage. They set the table and sit at it. The audience will witness a world where coming together at this table is the beginning, but moving away from it is central. The performance zooms in detail on how people step out of a situation or role, and will reveal the leaving behind of something that once seemed dear, important or inescapable.
Together with her performers Sara De Roo, Patricia Kargbo, Janneke Remmers, Rodrigo Baptista, Stefan Jakiela, director Suze Milius (1986) leads us through a series of deeply human scenes within ALL TOGETHER NOW! Each scene shows the subtle violence that manifests itself the moment a person dares to radically break with a situation. Masks are shed and reality blends with fiction in a doldrums world where everyone will slowly fall into chorus.
ALL TOGETHER NOW! like her previous theatrical performances EXHIBIT (2015), Zwischen (2016), HUIS (2015-2017) and TALK SHOW (2018), stems from the artistic desire to understand and make comprehensible to audiences something that previously seemed submerged and voiceless.
* Suze Milius, active in Flanders and the Netherlands since 2012, works as (final) director with Het Zuidelijk Toneel, Urland, BOG./Lisa Verbelen, Ballet Dommage, De Nwe Tijd, Wunderbaum, Orkater and others. Last season saw GROUND FLOOR (Orkater) a philosophising musical (i.c.w. author Maartje Wortel and composer Annelinde Bruijs).
