YouYou Group is een in Brussel gevestigde kunstenaarsgemeenschap die zich toelegt op de trillende klank youyou (in het Frans) of de zaghareed (in het Arabisch) en zijn vele inflecties en uitbreidingen — een collectieve verkenning van stem, resonantie en gedeelde expressie; gefocust op deze schrille, luid zinderende klank die vreugde (en soms ook rouw) uit en die via de diasporas verder leeft. Met hun trillende stemmen weven de performers van YouYou Group opwindende sonische weefsels. Door interactie ontstaat een keten van non-stop geluid die de ruimte vult en het publiek onderdompelt in een ervaring die tegelijkertijd hypnotiserend, onvoorspelbaar en diep stimulerend is.
