Sachli Gholamalizad is theatermaker, zangeres en actrice in film en televisie. Ze studeerde theater aan het RITCS in Brussel en volgde acteerlessen bij Jack Waltzer in Parijs. In 2013 creëerde ze haar eerste toneelstuk, A Reason to Talk, als het eerste deel van een trilogie. De productie won verschillende prijzen (Fringe First 2015, Circuit X, Roel Verniers, Shortlist Amnesty International, ...), toerde op verschillende plaatsen en werd met veel enthousiasme ontvangen. In 2016 maakte ze bij KVS de opvolger (Not) My Paradise. In mei 2019 is haar derde solovoorstelling Let Us Believe in the Beginning of the Cold Season in première gegaan in KVS en Kunstenfestivaldesarts.
Sachli Gholamalizad is ook vaak op het grote scherm te zien. Ze speelde onlangs in de (op het Sundance filmfestival) bekroonde film van Maryam Keshavarz The Persian Version (2023), Ann-Julie Vervaeke’s (op het Oostendse filmfestival) bekroonde kortfilm Een Mild Gebaar (2023), Brian De Palma’s Domino (2019) en Mijke De Jong’s Layla M (2016). Daarnaast acteert Sachli in diverse (inter)nationale televisieseries, waaronder Exen (2023), Lockdown (2021), Red Light (2020), Stockholm Requiem (2019), Vlucht HS13, De Twaalf, Loslopend Wild. Ze speelde een hoofdrol in De Bunker (2015-2018). Ze toert internationaal met haar toneelstukken. Zo trad ze onder meer op in Toronto & Montreal, Buenos Aires (FIBA), Barcelona (GREC Festival) en het Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Naast haar werk in theater en film zingt ze in haar eigen band en is ze bezig met het maken van een album.

Sachli Gholamalizad is a theatre-maker, singer and actress working in film and television. She created her first play, A Reason to Talk – the first part of a trilogy – in 2013. This production picked up awards including the Fringe First 2015, Circuit X, Roel Verniers, was shortlisted for an Amnesty Freedom of Expression Award, and has toured in various places to highly enthusiastic receptions. In 2016, she created the second part at the KVS theatre, (Not) My Paradise. In May 2019 her third solo production Let Us Believe in the Beginning of the Cold Season premièred in the KVS theatre and at international performing arts festival Kunstenfestivaldesarts, both in Brussels.
Sachli Gholamalizad is also frequently seen on the big screen.
