Discover the newest forms of circus in Amsterdam. This is not a circus is the annual festival for contemporary circus, featuring unique narratives, daring falls and flights, humor, and a touch of danger. In this multi-day program, you will encounter surprising physical performances, new circus techniques, and self-invented objects presented in a theatrical context. In addition, TENT and Circuspunt organize A Day at the Circus, a day dedicated to professionals. The next edition will take place in late January 2027 in several theatres across Amsterdam, including De Brakke Grond and Theater De Meervaart. More info & full programme to be announced soon!

Ontdek de nieuwste circusvormen in Amsterdam. This is not a circus is het jaarlijkse festival voor eigentijds circus met bijzondere narratieven, val- en vliegwerk, humor en een beetje gevaar. In dit meerdaagse programma zie je steeds weer verrassend fysiek werk, nieuwe circustechnieken en zelfbedachte objecten in een theatrale context. Daarnaast organiseren TENT en Circuspunt A Day at the Circus, een dag voor professionals.
