De Zijde Steek is an installation that places humans and nature in dialogue. A giant rotating cocoon and a rack of (your) woolen sweaters - what connects them? Participate by unraveling old, used garments, feeling each stitch loosen. The material transforms into new possibilities. Breathe new life into your old sweater and contribute to the environment. The collective aims to foster hope through coming together, showing that individual contributions truly have value and impact.
Collectief ÉÉN-OOG is an interdisciplinary collective of students in Game Design, Game Art, and Interactive Performance Design at HKU. They seek to reorient perspectives toward nature and raise awareness with the question: who can you be in this world?
De Zijde Steek was created for Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond, as part of Festival Beyond the Black Box. It is a project by students from the Interactive Performance Design program (Theater Academy) and Game Art and Game Design programs (Games Academy) at the Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU).
