Touchscape: Camping Beyond Reasoning is an immersive installation that explores the boundaries of touch and sensory perception. In this experience, each participant, blindfolded and guided by a rope, embarks on a one-on-one tactile journey through a variety of transformed objects and materials at their own pace.
As participants enter the space, they are invited to let go of reasoning and encounter different forms of communication and connection through touch.
This collaborative project is an interdisciplinary continuation of research initially ideated by Mahsa Koochak. It examines the concept of embodiment, its political implications, and our modes of relating to one another. Through tactility and nonverbal communication, we want to challenge dominant modes of perception, asking: How do we find orientation through touch? How do we connect beyond sight?
