On May 20th, ArtTable and Amsterdam Art are joining forces to present the symposium “What do we bring to the table?”. This program approaches the art world as an interconnected ecosystem, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and flexibility in response to changing social, political, and economic circumstances. Recognizing that our vulnerabilities are largely caused by individualistic and competitive tendencies, the symposium aims to foster collective solidarity and create alliances. Participants are invited to reflect on the skills and resources they themselves can contribute, and are encouraged to put these to practice for the benefit of the broader cultural and creative sector.
The symposium will be opened and led by Fatoş Üstek. She will engage in conversation with Zoé Whitley and Zeynep Kubat in a plenary panel discussion. This will be followed by interactive roundtable sessions, in which participants will engage in conversations and exchange action-oriented strategies. By highlighting best practices and promoting reciprocity, the symposium strives for a strong, connected, and future-proof cultural sector.
