This year, the annual DocLab conference takes the shape of a series of live events with artist talks and performances around a specific theme. In DocLab Live: Fluid Bodies we go on a tender and transformative journey into the human body - exploring its malleability, unknown potential, and physical limitations seen through the eyes of different artists.
With Eefje Suijkerbuijk’s interactive hormone safari (happening live on telegram during IDFA) and Victoria Mappleback’s audio installation Testing Times documenting bodies across three generations stuck inside the pandemic. With performance artists Anna Fries and Malu Peeters deconstructing pregnacy in [Posthuman Wombs] and Lauren Lee McCarthy exploring parenthood across different bodies and devices in Surrogate. And finally, with Caroline Robert performing an intimate, speculative neurological in Brainstream.
